Both Aegerter and Krummenacher will have something to say in the race

31.08.2013

Six riders -the first two rows - are in less than 2 tenths of a second, twelve in the same second, and the absolute lap record of the Silverstone circuit was beaten by eight riders including Technomag-carXpert's rider Dominique Aegerter: the Moto2 category of the 2013 world championship is by far the most competitive on the grand prix calendar in qualifying. Another proof of this: six different race winners since the beginning of the season. In this spectacular peloton, Dominique Aegerter (8th) and Randy Krummenacher (13th, after a difficult first day) have played their part very well. They will certainly have something to say on Sunday at 11:20 local time (12:20 on the continent).

Dominique Aegerter (8th): "Our progress since yesterday is very positive. I made a step forward with my riding style, and we have also improved the set-up of our bike, which allowed me to fully target my objective: one of the first three rows on the starting grid. I am losing half a second on pole position and I hope that I am able to stay with the leading group to get a Top-5 finish. There is a small gap between the Top-6 and us; however, on this circuit with its long final straight it is possible to make up for that with the help of slipstream. On Sunday we will see better who worked for the race and who only focused on qualifying; we will also see who's going to struggle towards the end of the race in the decisive attack. Personally, I am very confident."

Randy Krummenacher (13th): "After my catastrophic Friday, I can feel some relief. This morning I did not give it 100% as my head was still causing some problems and I can tell that after the shock yesterday I do not feel brand new at the end of the day. But I slept well yesterday and I am going to sleep well tonight. Today I managed to put into place what I wanted to achieve yesterday - to stay as calm as possible, progress step by step riding alone this morning in free practice to prepare for qualifying. I managed to get my best lap time with Dominique; he made use of my slipstream on the final straight, overtook me and I followed him. This is the first time since Sachsenring that I prove that I've always been capable of being fast. My objective? To have a good start and then try to stay with the group in the front as long as possible to create a gap between us and the rest of the pack."
