Aegerter on fourth row, Krummenacher 20th fastest

09.11.2013

The last Moto2 Grand Prix of the 2013 season takes place this Sunday on the circuit in Cheste, close to Valencia, and it is surely going to be a big spectacle: if we disregard the record lap time of the world champion Pol Espargaró, there are 22 riders in one second, including the Technomag-carXpert duo Duminique Aegerter (11th) and Randy Krummenacher (20th). Both teammates, after a difficult first day, can look forward to the last race start of the season.

Dominique Aegerter (11th): The gaps are extremely small. My fastest lap time is not bad, but my grid position is not ideal. That being said, there are many positive things to take from this day. First of all, and most importantly, I am feeling better than on Friday. Rather than the electrotherapy, I rode with painkillers and I had the bandage on my left shoulder replaced. I can rider more freely, even though I am not able to take my usual position on the bike; there are many left corners on this track and that is not good for my injury. The race will be long and therefore really hard but my objective is clear: I am fifth in the overall world championship classification and I will do everything to maintain this position."

Randy Krummenacher (20th): "I am feeling a lot less tired than on Friday and I got over the crash I had in the free practice this morning fairly quickly. It was a simple crash, I lost the front, nothing serious. At the beginning of the day I was still struggling, my pace was not consistent and I realised that I was not able to control everything. In qualifying this afternoon it was all gone, I felt much better so I went faster and most importantly I was more consistent on the track. My objective to take this feeling that I had this afternoon to the race. Yesterday I was not sure at all whether or not I will be able to ride tomorrow. Today I hesitate no more, even though I know the race will be very long."
