Zaqhwan Zaidi to replace Randy Krummenacher in Malaysia
Forced to stay at home to continue his recovery, Randy Krummenacher will not participate in the three fly-away races with the Technomag-carXpert team.
A young rider Zaqhwan Zaidi has been decided to replace him for the first round of this overseas triple-header starting in Malaysia this weekend.
18-year old rider from Malaysia started racing in 2009 and won a 4-hour Endurance race in Suzuka in 2012. Participating in the PETRONAS AAM Malaysian Club Prix Championship and in PETRONAS Asia Road Racing Championship, he will have the chance to discover the Suter MMX-II of the Team Technomag-carXpert and will take his first opportunity in the Moto2 World Championship.
Fred Corminboeuf, team manager: "We had two options here in Malaysia, either no one to replace Randy or we find a local rider. This second solution seemed better because doing so we are giving a young rider an opportunity to experience the Moto2 World Championship and to ride in front of his home crowd. It is great for both the team and the rider.
Of course we will be thinking about Randy Krummenacher this weekend. We wish to have him back in his place in the box as soon as possible."
