Team Technomag-carXpert on the job

24.02.2014

No one has ever been this fast on the circuit of Jerez de la Frontera on a Moto2 bike: a week after Valencia, all world championship riders had another 3-day rendezvous in Andalusia. This was an opportunity for all teams to work on their bike set-up and for some, already, to target lap-times. The first three riders of the classification managed to beat the record of the circuit that was held by German Stafan Bradl. Top-17 were all in one second and, 22nd overall over the period of three days, Technomag-carXpert's Dominique Aegerter is not losing more than 1.232 seconds. His teammate, Robin Mulhauser, got a warning on the first day of testing, when he crashed without suffering any consequences. 33rd overall, he is losing no more than 3 seconds on the fastest. Immediately after the test, both riders returned to Switzerland to participate in a promotional event with Swissmoto, an exposition that is being held every year in Zurich.

Frédéric Corminboeuf (team manager): "Dominique had a good last day in Jerez de la Frontera, focusing on long "runs". His lap-times were more or less consistent, very close to his fastest lap-time. After the winter break that was disturbed by his operation, we all knew that we have to be patient. He continues to progress, his shoulder is getting better and his feeling with the bike is improving as well. We are still going to spend one more day riding in Castellet before the final test in Jerez de la Frontera. When it comes to Robin, he is working a lot with his riding style, shifting of his body weight and support of the footrests. He had a small crash at the end of the day, but overall everything remains very positive."
