Aegerter does not understand, Mulhauser crashes twice

17.10.2014

The first day of free practice for the Australian Grand Prix on the circuit of Phillip Island was rather difficult for the two Technomag-carXpert Team riders. Dominique Aegerter was not able to find an ideal technical solution for this circuit located right by the ocean. Robin Mulhauser had a high-speed crash this morning (more than 220 km/h) and another crash this afternoon in which he destroyed his Suter to a large extent. "A difficult day for us but the most important is that Robin is not injured, " said the team manager Frédéric Corminboeuf.

Dominique Aegerter (18th): "I don't have any feeling, I don't know what more to say. I would like to understand it but at the moment I don't have the answer to my questions. We have to find something else. I have to be better in my head and from the technical point of view; we also have to find solutions. We have two different tyres at our disposal; I tried them both but I can't tell the difference: this itself explains that my situation is not easy at all."

Robin Mulhauser (34th): "I was very lucky in the unlucky situation. I hurt my left hand a bit this morning and this afternoon, despite a heavy shock, I was able to get up by myself. I am exhausted. I know that I will feel it tomorrow morning, but nothing serious. What bothers me more is that I don't understand why I crashed. I have to admit for the first time this season that I am a bit lost."
